Government Affairs and Public Policy
Mercy For Animals works to create lasting change through laws, regulations, and reforms. We engage with legislators, government agencies, and policymakers to advocate strong animal protections while promoting plant-based food systems.

Corporate Engagement
We move companies to commit to and implement higher welfare standards for farmed animals. Through collaboration and accountability measures, we also help companies transition their purchasing policies and practices towards just and sustainable plant-based products.

- Engaging with companies to secure animal welfare reforms that reduce large-scale suffering
- Guiding corporations in decreasing their reliance on animal products and adding plant-based items to their menus and product lines
Organising
Our organising programme empowers and coordinates animal activists, guiding them in taking campaign actions, organising in their communities, and raising their voices online. In building a diverse, inclusive, and well-equipped movement, we also develop volunteer community leaders who expand our work to protect farmed animals and drive the shift towards plant-based eating.

- Influencing behaviour change in key social clusters to create broader reduction of animal product consumption
- Building power by mobilising activists and forming coalitions to better position ourselves to advance our mission across all areas of work
Public Engagement
Our public engagement team plays a vital role in creating change by inspiring news stories from the world’s top media outlets, collaborating with influential celebrities, and using social media platforms to amplify our message and drive actions. We blend influence with impactful storytelling to motivate individuals and communities to take action for animals.
